HELMUT LANG RESORT 2022 COLLECTION

Neutral and monochromatic tones are visible throughout the minimalist label’s latest offering.

In an effort to restore the cache amassed under its namesake’s direction, Helmut Lang re-tooled its branding, visuals and online presence when Isabella Burley became its first editor in residence in 2017. In unveiling its Resort 2022 collection, the luxury fashion house has refined the minimal aesthetic with which it became widely associated during Lang’s tenure. Rooted in comfort, utility and functionality, Helmut Lang Resort 2022 features a range of oversized knit sweaters, relaxed fit cargo pants, bomber jackets and tactical vests (in keeping with the label’s military inspired design history) as well as form-fitting dresses, blazers and formal trousers. Although color is used to cleverly accent select items, the primary theme is one of neutral and monochromatic tones, both of which have been frequently incorporated in past collections.
